01

Crash Repair

Getting your vehicle repaired after an accident should be straightforward. We look after the whole process, from the first assessment to handing back the keys.

Crash Repairs

When accidents happen, we’re here to get you back on the road. Our crash repair team handles everything from minor dents and scratches to major collision damage, on cars, trucks and fleet vehicles.

We take care of the whole job, from panel repairs and structural alignment through to paint refinishing and detailing. Our modern spray booths mean the new paint blends in with the rest of the vehicle, so you’d never know it had been damaged.

We know time off the road costs you money, so we work efficiently without cutting corners. We’re members of the Collision Repair Association (CRA) and work with all the major insurance companies.

Light vehicles are repaired at our Te Awamutu branch, and our Hamilton and Auckland branches repair trucks and other commercial vehicles.

Insurance Repairs

We work closely with the major insurance companies to make the repair process as easy as possible for you. Our team looks after everything from the assessment through to handing your vehicle back, and every repair meets insurer and safety standards.

What you can expect:

  • Help with your claim
  • Approved repair processes
  • Clear communication the whole way through

Automotive Painting

Modern spray booths, careful preparation and expert colour matching, for everything from classic cars to truck fleets and earthmoving machinery.

Cars

Whether your car needs a small paint repair or a full restoration, our Te Awamutu team can bring it back to life. We fix scratches, dents, chips and other imperfections first, then apply a seamless, high-quality finish.

We handle colour matching, blends, metallics and pearls, in both waterborne and solvent paints. We also do colour changes, complete restorations of classic cars, and long-lasting paint protection with Body Liner.

Trucks & Trailers

Our spray booths are built to take large vehicles, so trucks and trailers get the same controlled, high-quality finish as a car. We do everything from touch-ups to complete resprays, and we specialise in colour matching and custom finishes, so your fleet looks exactly the way you want it to.

For heavy transport we mostly use solvent paint systems, which give a hard-wearing, high-gloss finish that stands up to life on the road. Major insurers and fleet companies trust us with both accident repairs and fleet refreshes, and we know how important it is to get your truck back to work quickly.

Heavy Machinery

Your machinery works hard, and it should look as good as it performs. We refinish excavators, loaders, cranes, tractors and forestry equipment, whatever the size.

We use industrial coatings that stand up to New Zealand conditions, resisting UV, wear and weather. Whether you want a full respray, a colour change or your own branding, our purpose-built booths and experienced team will give you a finish that lasts.

Helicopters

Our Te Awamutu team has been painting helicopters for decades, and today we refinish aircraft for private and commercial operators from all over New Zealand.

An aircraft finish needs the same care we give every vehicle, and then some: thorough preparation, accurate colour and livery work, and a durable finish that holds up to life in the air. We work closely with Rotorcraft in Hamilton on their repaints and rebuilds, so the paintwork matches the quality of the engineering underneath.

03

Industrial & Protective Coatings

Coatings that protect steel, alloy and paintwork in tough conditions. This work goes well beyond standard vehicle painting, and it's designed to last.

Industrial Coatings

Our Hamilton branch protects steel and equipment that has to survive tough conditions. This work goes well beyond vehicle painting and is designed for long-term durability and corrosion protection.

We coat structural steel, fabricated components, machinery and equipment, using zinc spraying and industrial paint systems suited to each job. We also have a team based full time at PFS Engineering in Hamilton, so steel can be fabricated, blasted and coated on the one site.

Thermal Arc Spraying

When steel has to stand up to salt, moisture or chemicals, thermal arc spraying is one of the best protections there is. A zinc or alloy wire is melted in an electric arc and sprayed onto the prepared steel, where it forms a dense metal coating bonded to the surface.

That metal layer corrodes in place of the steel underneath, so it protects far better than paint on its own. We use it to extend the life of heavy machinery, truck bodies, structural steel and components that need the highest level of protection, and we can finish over it with a paint system for a clean, professional look.

Primoshield

Primoshield is a clear, permanent coating sprayed directly onto stainless steel and aluminium. It uses nanotechnology to protect against corrosion and UV, and it resists most chemicals, so polished alloy and stainless keep their finish for much longer.

It’s ideal for highly visible assets like alloy tipper bodies, tanks and trims, where looking good matters as much as lasting well.

What it offers:

  • Protection against corrosion
  • Resistance to salt and chemicals
  • Resistance to scratches and impacts
  • Heat resistance
  • A self-cleaning surface

Body Liner Ballistic Flex Clear

Body Liner Ballistic Flex Clear protects your paint the way a protective film does, but without the film. It’s sprayed on and bonds permanently to the surface, so it won’t lift, peel or crack, and it resists chipping even in harsh conditions.

The technology comes from aerospace paint protection, and it’s tougher and longer lasting than traditional paint protection film. It suits everything from cars to trucks and fleet vehicles.

Sandblasting & Surface Preparation

A great finish starts with a properly prepared surface.

  • A heavily rusted steel drum before sandblasting
  • A Fulton Hogan concrete plant after blasting and priming, being prepared for coating
  • The same truss after sandblasting

A finish is only as good as the surface underneath it. Sandblasting strips machinery, vehicles and steelwork back to bare metal, removing old paint, rust and contamination. Getting back to bare metal also lets us find any cracks or defects and repair them before painting. Just as importantly, it leaves the surface profiled so the new coating bonds properly and lasts.

Our team handles jobs of every size, from truck chassis and heavy machinery to structural steel and components, and all three branches have sandblasting facilities.

This includes:

  • Rust and corrosion removal
  • Paint and coating removal
  • Surface profiling for coatings
  • Preparation for industrial coatings and refinishing

05

Wheel Polishing

Polished alloy wheels make a truck stand out. We take dull, scuffed and oxidised wheels back to a bright, mirror finish.

Alloy wheels take a beating on the road, from brake dust and road grime to scuffs and oxidation. Our team works through that damage and polishes each wheel back to a bright, mirror finish, so your truck looks the way it did when it was new.

Wheel polishing is done at our Hamilton branch. If you’re closer to Te Awamutu or Auckland, just drop your wheels in there and we’ll send them through to Hamilton for you.

This includes:

  • Alloy wheel polishing
  • Alloy wheel repairs

06

Cosmetic Repairs & Touch-Ups

Small fixes that make a big difference to how your vehicle looks.

Not every job needs a full repair. Sometimes a small fix makes the biggest difference, and we can take care of it quickly and at a sensible cost.

This includes:

  • Scratch and dent repairs
  • Paint touch-ups
  • Paintless dent removal
